Jake's 22nd Countdown

There isn't any countdown really, but lemme blog recounting his birthday eve(26th Jan).

I was frankly fretting over what to do for his birthday.
He didn't have any plans- he has too many good friends to decide which group he wants to celebrate with and honestly? He has one special someone he had in mind and pity that special someone is busy on both days of the weekends.

I have an inspiration just one or two days before his eve!
I shall head home around 10plus and then Keith and him will hang out till 11+, I will call Keith then pretend I needed to see Keith and so WX will go home.
When he go home, Keith will come by to pick me up and then we will go down WX's place around midnight and knock on his door to surprise him with a cake!
To sweeten the whole thing, I thought of asking his crush to join us.

HOWEVER, I didn't have his crush contact AT ALL.
So I had to log into Keith's account and then find her thru friendster and left her a message, asking her to call me.

Till the next day, I receive no call, no sms from her.
Cham la, how? She probably didn't log online in the morning and already went out.

I then figured its too much of a hassle to down his place and all and Keith and I decided that we should just do it in a cafe. At midnight, the staff will appear with a cake specially for our dearest Jake. =)



I met Jake and Keith after work in Vivo for lunch.
Jake then left his phone with me when he go ahead to buy food. After Keith decided to get his tau hauy drink, he looked at Jake's phone and said, "aiyah".
(In case you're wondering what does that action means, it means that Keith wanted to call Jake to ask WX what he wants but Jake didn't bring his phone so Keith aiyah to express his exasperation.)

THAT WAS WHEN IT STRUCK ME I COULD JUST GET HIS CRUSH NUMBER FROM HIS HP! While he was buying his food!

So then I had to do my deed quickly. Finding her number and save it to my phone.
And voila! I did it before he came back!
Suddenly very kan chiong coz worried he might ask why I take his phone to press some buttons.

I managed to sms her and yes! She is free after her movie which is at 11plus!
PERFECTO!
So we made plans to meet and decided that I will pick a cake and then she will appear at 12 with the cake in the cafe we will be.

To cut this blog entry short, I shall do a point form from now till the moment.
- watched 27 Dresses
- dear dear Keith bought hot chocolate for me because I was having cramps
- not sure if some of you know but outside Vivo Starbucks where the kids playground is at, there is this pony ride for kids. You have to pedal up and down up and down to get it moving. Well, we did it. 3 of us did it. HAHA we did a race kinda thing. In case you're wondering, yes its quite tough to pedal and yes we are very embarrassed. But alll for our lovely Jake, the extent we would go for. And I was in mini skirt ok!
- decided a cake with Keith and sms-ed his crush to tie down everything
- had to plot the way we sit so Jake wouldn't see his crush coming(not easy job okay!)

At 11.55pm, I saw a girl walk in and smiled at me.
Yes she is the crush and she's here! My god I looked at my clock and thought she was early!
Then Keith started to talk and talk and talk about his secondary school days to distract WX.

Then she came.

Jake took 10 seconds to register in his mind its her.
Initally he thought he was just the staff who brought the cake and sang for him. Till he turned back to take a closer look second time, it registered that its her.

My dear dear friend.



He was in literal shock and obviously pleased.
HEEHEE.

Then he cut the cake and then I asked question him if he knows and all and if he's happy and all.

And he was. =)

The night all went well with Keith sending me back and he sending his crush back.

Birthdays are always special. =)
